A charming and highly decorative vintage asparagus tureen, beautifully crafted in the classic European majolica tradition. The lid is crowned with a sculptural bundle of asparagus spears tied with golden bands, resting on richly textured green leaves. The body is adorned with delicate floral reliefs in soft yellow and green tones, all finished with a glossy glaze that highlights the intricate hand-moulded details.
Both whimsical and elegant, this piece was originally designed to serve asparagus at the table, but today it makes a striking display object in a country kitchen, or spring table vignette.
