This wonderful piece by Larry Fancy has so much lovely detail, relief in the carving, layering of the colors and movement in the subject of the geese. 
Larry Fancy (b. 1951) of Milton, Nova Scotia carves people in all sizes and shapes as well as  animals and birds. Always in paint and he signs his work.
Larry started carving around 1980 after admiring the work of his neighbour Ralph Boutilier. He is the son of Raymond Fancy, and brother to Brian Fancy who are also noted carvers.
Larry’s work is highly collectible, selling at auctions across Canada.
