Sweet hand colored antique engraving of a ‘Walking Dress’ from ladies’ magazine. Modes de Paris, issued between 1832-52, featured essays, poems, serialised stories and notable fashions, some in the form of hand coloured plates. There would have been a few per issue, along with other black and white illustrations.
Lovely original hand colouring. Taped behind card mount. Engraving in good condition with minor age-appropriate marks and wear.
