Gater, Hall & Company, Burselem, Staffordshire, England large transfer ware ale pitcher, 8 1/2" tall circa 1890’s blue & white transfer pattern, depicting the lovely Windsor Castle and an idyllic nearby lake on the other side with boats and rowers.

On the castle, the Union Jack is flying, meaning the monarch is in residence. Raised relief black swags around rim and base, rim is unevenly scalloped. Lovely double C handle with thumb spur and raised relief. Condition is great on this century and quarter old pitcher.

There is lovely mild all over crazing commensurate with age. No cracks or chips.
