These unique printer blocks were used for printing adverts by the Kentville newspaper, The Advertiser, that began in 1878.

They advertised Nova Scotia apples - one depicting three apples 🍎 and the word ‘APPLES’ , and the other showing a figure picking apples into a bushel in an apple tree 🌳.

Apples: 9” x 4”

Picker: 6 1/4” x 5 3/4”

The image on the printing block is mirror reversed.
