Vallauris pottery is renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and rich history.

Vallauris’s pottery tradition can be traced back over two thousand years to the Roman occupation of the region.

In 1946, Picasso visited Vallauris and discovered the local pottery studios and was captivated by the craft. Picasso quickly became deeply involved in pottery making, collaborating with local potters to create a wide range of ceramic pieces. His presence in Vallauris catapulted the town into the international art scene and made Vallauris

pottery highly sought after by collectors.
