Blue Onion (German: Zwiebelmuster) is a porcelain tableware pattern for dishware originally manufactured by Meissen porcelain beginning in 1740. It was then copied by many other companies, to end up on these adorable Japanese coffee sets.
These midcentury pieces in blue as well as brown onion, are made by Original Arnart Creations in Japan with distinctive shapes that harken of the Middle East, uniquely decorated in a vine, leaf and mum design accented with cotta stripes. The lids have a dimensional leafy onion as a handle 🧅!
