The object is an antique wooden block and double pulley, likely used in maritime or agricultural settings. It features two wheels (sheaves) within a wooden frame, allowing for rope or line to run through it. The attached hook and metal fittings would have been used for securing and lifting heavy objects. 

Patina and wear consistent with age.

Beautiful as a sculptural object on a credenza, coffee table or as part of a nautical display / wall of curiosities.
