The central scene, known as the Nuneham Courtenay pattern, depicts a bucolic landscape with a river, a bridge, a cottage, and a large house (Nuneham Park). The border of the dish features a floral design, which is the "Wild Rose" pattern.
This gorgeous piece was likely made by Bell, Cook & Co., c. 1840 in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Northumberland.
In very good condition.
No chips or cracks.
