It doesn’t get any more Maritime than this! Vintage framed portrait of a pipe-smoking fisherman wearing a sou’wester.

The original iconic painting 'The Fisherman' is from 1920 by Harry Haerendel, purported to be of Dorus Rijkers and can be found in thousands of Scandinavian homes.

Some people love it and hail it as the best painting ever made, other think of it as kitsch art. Its popularity has nevertheless rendered the painting iconic.
