Hubert Young was a Canadian artist living in Victoria, BC, who painted mostly nautical and maritime subjects in the 1950’s and 60’s. 
This intricate and mesmerizing painting of a ship’s rigging pulls you onto the deck of the vessel and right out onto that wild churning sea! Lovely.
