This pair of old Lunenburg county oxen bells harken back to a time when these majestic animals were used throughout the county for work. Oxen ‘powered’ Lunenburg County for generations, well into the 1900s. They are famously memorialized in the paintings of world renowned folk artist Maud Lewis.

These are highly collectable pieces of Nova Scotia and Lunenburg County folk history.

The bells are 3” tall and 2 3/4” wide.

Straps are 1 1/2” wide.
